My dad always instilled in me the belief that “I could do anything,” and that mindset has stayed with me. I’m not a perfectionist, but I’m always eager to try new things and learn from my endeavors, even if they result in mistakes. In fact, I’m not short on hobbies and interests, many of which I attribute to my 4H experience as a child.

Photography is one of my greatest joys. I find delight in capturing portraits, landscapes, and family sports moments. I often contribute my photos to our local calendar, sell greeting cards at a nearby store, and even share my work with the school district for their events. Digital photography particularly appeals to me as it allows endless opportunities to capture that perfect shot. Additionally, I possess editing skills and occasionally venture into video compilation.

While I enjoy cooking, baking holds a special place in my heart. My friends and co-workers can attest to my baking prowess. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with crafting unique cakes, and experimenting with intriguing flavors from scratch. Among my favorites are a rich chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white buttercream, delectable butter cake, refreshing lemon creations, indulgent chocolate pudding cake, and delightful maple bourbon cake. Whether baking or exploring other culinary avenues, I always prioritize making things from scratch.

I’ll admit I can also geek out from time to time. Embracing the latest technology to add fun and excitement to my life is a challenge I relish. Transitioning from Windows computers to a Mac, for instance, proved to be a learning curve, with many small details to discover along the way. However, I persevered and found that YouTube became an invaluable resource, making me believe anything is possible. As a devoted fan of Microsoft OneNote, I’m eager to share its remarkable capabilities. I’ve invested significant time researching every aspect of website creation—from choosing a name, understanding hosting, and mastering content management to contemplating the topics I’ll write about.
